South Whidbey parks officials call special meeting

The South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District will hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss the district's comprehensive plan.

Primary items to be covered include an action plan, priorities, acquisition and development and capital improvements

Parks commissioners will make a final decision on timing for the grand re-opening of Castle Park, tentatively scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8 at parks district headquarters, 5475 Maxwelton Road in Langley.
