Island County Fire District 3 commissioners will discuss mutual aid at their meeting tonight.

The commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at the Freeland Fire Station, 5535 Cameron Road.

Mutual-aid agreements with Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, and with the Island County Sheriff’s Office for fire investigations, will be on the agenda.

Commissioners also will get a permit update on the district’s property at Bayview, where a new headquarters and training facility is planned, and on disposition of its Thompson Road property, which it is trying to sell.

Also at the meeting, there will be a discussion of fire-inspection services, and Heidi Peters and Annie Doran will be confirmed as emergency medical technicians with the department.
