The city of Langley hopes to fill six vacant positions on two boards and one commission.
Two openings are on the Langley Woodmen Cemetery Board, two on the Planning Advisory Board and one on the Historic Preservation Commission.
Cemetery board applicants can be residents or non-residents of the city, but must have an interest in the welfare of the historic cemetery.
On the Planning Advisory Board, one voting position and one alternate position are available. Alternates are expected to attend meetings and vote when a voting member is absent. Applicants must be city residents.
For the Historic Preservation Commission, applicants must be residents of Island County, and should have experience in areas such as architecture, architectural history, planning, building construction, conservation, landscape architecture or related fields.
Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, June 15. To apply, contact Kathleen Landel at 221-4246, ext. 21, or visit the city’s Web site at www.langleywa.org.
