Island County Public Health is partnering with South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District to hold the annual Children’s Day Festival 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 at South Whidbey Community Park.

The day includes pony rides, inflatable bounce houses, crafts, bubbles, games and lunch while it lasts.

It’s all free so parents, grandparents and caregivers should come for the day to celebrate children and leave wallets at home.

The event will feature over 35 interactive booths and activities provided by local agencies, organizations and businesses that support children and their families.

Please leave dogs at home, as many children are afraid of even the gentlest pups.
