Noxious weeds can be dangerous to animals and people, so the Deer Lagoon Grange is providing islanders a chance to learn about them.

Janet Stein, the Island County Noxious Weed Program coordinator, will speak March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Deer Lagoon Grange. She will discuss noxious weeds, which ones are poisonous to you or your animals and what you can do about them.

The speaker will also address which control methods work best.

This is a free program, part of the Grange’s community education program. Donations are welcome to the Grange Building Repair Fund.
