Palmer ahead in the race for campaign cash

Jim Palmer has sprinted ahead in the campaign-money race for Island County auditor.

According to the most recent campaign finance reports on file with the state Public Disclosure Commission, Palmer has gathered $4,125 in donations.

Incumbent Sheilah Crider has reported no contributions and has no money yet for her campaign.

Neither candidate, as of Tuesday, had reported spending any funds on their campaigns.
