The county is scheduled to apply the final surface on numerous roads impacted by construction in Bayview this week.

The schedule for construction work is subject to change due to possibility of adverse weather. The roads scheduled for fog sealing are as follows:

• Saratoga Road from Lone Lake Road to Archwood Court

• East Harbor Road from Saratoga Road to Brainers Road

• Brooks Hill Road from Andreason Road to Crawford Road

• Cultus Bay Road from Deer Lake Road to Highway 525

• Cultus Bay Road from Glendale Road to French Road

The surface, called fog seal, is an oil mixture that serves as an overcoat for roads that helps retain the chip rock and prevents moisture from penetrating the base asphalt surface. The roads were sealed with a layer of oil followed by chip rock earlier this summer.

County officials are encouraging drivers to travel carefully on newly resurfaced roads.
