This year’s winner of the Artists of South Whidbey People’s Choice Award at the Whidbey Island Fair Fine Art Exhibit is Stacey Neumiller of Coupeville.

“I delight in rural farm life. To me it’s the best possible way to live. That’s where my art comes in. I paint my vision of what rural farm life embodies: animals, birds, crops, fresh air, fragrant grass and of course, red barns,” Neumiller said.

Neumiller received $100 in prize money for her acrylic painting “Riley.”

The second place award of $50 went to Sharon Vos, of Langley, for her watercolor painting “Freddie.”

Neumiller’s work is available online at stacey-neumiller.artistwebsites.com.

Artists of South Whidbey will also hold a show during DjangoFest Northwest at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in September.
