FEMA to cover past storm damage costs in Island County

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, will reimburse the cost of repairing or replacing property damaged by winds, floods, landslides or mudslides during storms occurring Nov. 12-15, 2015 or Dec. 1-14, 2015, it said in a prepared release.

Island County was among those areas designated as eligible for public assistance funding under major-disaster declarations signed by President Barack Obama Jan. 15, 2016, the emergency agency said.
