Freeland studio open house June 15

It’s time for the ninth annual open house at Freeland Art Studios.

See what’s new 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the studios on Saturday, June 15.

Sue Taves returned from sculpting in Italy and her stone and sculpture shipment arrived at the studio on May 23.

There is a new permanent member at the studios, Matt Monforte, who joined the studio last fall. He’s primarily painting and drawing, primairly figurative work.

There will also be guest artists Therese Kingsbury and Benjamin Mefford.

Attendees can also hear about Woody Morris’s “Legend Bench” project that he just installed in Kenmore.

Many of the artists will be at the studio for the open house and will have art for sale as well as new works in process. There will also be some light refreshments.

The studio is at 1660 Roberta Avenue off of Harbor Avenue in Freeland, behind Whidbey Island Bank and the WAIF Thrift store.
