In honor of the country’s bravest men and women, the South Whidbey Republican Women will kick off their new year’s theme “Dedicated to Victory” on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Useless Bay Golf & Country Club, beginning with lunch at 11:30 a.m.

The guest speakers this month will be the director of the public affairs office from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and the commander of the hospital at the Navy base. They will give a slide-show presentation and address the state of the station and recent updates and events.

The public is welcome to come and show its support for all the devoted men and women in military service. Reservations are required; the $16 lunch fee can be paid at the door. Call 579-4062 or 321-5420 to reserve a space.
