Drivers should be prepared for some daytime delays on Highway 525 this week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation announced Friday that maintenance crews will be making pavement repairs Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 21.

A single lane of Highway 525 from about Maxwelton Road to Craw Road (mile posts 12 to 13) will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily while agency workers make repairs to the roadway. Drivers will be flagged through the open lane but should expect some delays and add some extra time to their trips through the area, according to the Friday news release.

The announcement also reminded drivers can that they can get real-time traffic information on their mobile phones with the WSDOT traffic app, by tracking the WSDOT traffic Twitter feed and get advance information from the What’s Happening Now WSDOT page.
