Langley’s sewer comprehensive plan received approval from the Department of Ecology, said Public Works Director Stan Berryman at the regular monthly city council meeting Monday night.

The nearly $2 million plan will work to fix the city’s aging infrastructure and facilities that have caused headaches for Langley’s sewer system.

The repairs and improvements over the next 20 years will be paid for through a six-year rate structure plan that includes increases in rates annually until 2021, when average bimonthly bills top out at $256.
