Whale food advocacy, lobbying for Lolita’s return, a new whale center and now, whale watching trips will be available in Langley.

Beginning March 8, Mystic Sea Charters will launch whale watching tours out of Langley’s new and expanded South Whidbey Harbor.

Trips are Friday, Saturday and Sunday through March, with Thursday and Monday service beginning in April. There will also be a second trip on Saturday, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. For a different type of trip, Mystic Sea offers Friday evening cruises that will feature a different local winery or brewery for tasting, appetizers and whale watching.

The final Mystic Sea whale watching trip is May 18.
