National award for Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue

Central Whidbey Island Fire and Rescue received the distinguished budget presentation award for the fourth consecutive year.

The award, given by the Government Finance Officer Association, means the district satisfied nationally recogonized guidelines for an effective budget presentation.

The district’s budget is also published on the GFOA website as an example of a “best practice” governmental budget.

Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue aids South Whidbey Fire/EMS with fires occurring on South Whidbey. Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue contributed a fire engine to an early morning fire of a Useless Bay Colony home on Monday.
