SHERIFF’S REPORT | Funny money, a phony worker who wants to pay for sex and a 20-year grudge

The following are 911 reports to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, South Precinct.

Thursday, December 15

8:42 a.m. — A caller at a Freeland church reported the theft of a grey 2002 Acura MDX.

1:13 p.m. — A caller on Honeymoon Bay Road in Freeland found a partial deer carcass that was skinned and had meat removed. Also, a neighbor had a steak removed from an outside cooler.

1:16: p.m. — Caller from a Freeland coffee business reported the use of a fraudulent check; a checkbook was stolen last year and one was recently used.

4:33 p.m. — A Harbor Hill Drive caller found their front door kicked in.

Friday, December 16

9:14 a.m. — A caller on Saratoga Road in Langley reported subjects wearing camouflage clothes in a camouflage boat about one-half mile off shore are shooting guns.

11:12 a.m. — A caller on Scatchet Head Road in Clinton said people are posting his address online for “tweakers to come and rob” him. The caller is part of the online Facebook group We the People of Whidbey Island.

3:13 p.m. — A caller from a Clinton business said a patron is making false statements that he works there and is posting on Facebook that he wants to pay for sex.

Sunday, December 18

1:20 p.m. — A caller from a Langley laundromat said a male is threatening to hit her with a shovel. The man touched her property and took it out of a washer.

Monday, December 19

3:18 a.m. — A caller on Lakeside Drive and Traverse Road near Goss Lake said he woke up to a roommate putting a gun in his face.

8:48 a.m. — A Scatchet Head Road caller said she got a text that a man’s girlfriend is going to come on her property and “kick her ass” again.

9:10 a.m. — A caller on Smugglers Cove Road in Freeland states a neighbor is harassing him, that it’s been occurring since late 1990s.

Tuesday, December 20

8:54 a.m. — A caller on Cedar Point and Bob Galbreath roads in Clinton reported finding a bunch of mail laying around the location. It had all been opened.

10:17 a.m. — A caller on Sunlight Beach Road in Clinton found a syringe in the grass.

Wednesday, December 21

4:03 a.m. — A caller on Deer Lake Road in Clinton reported hearing screams from the woods; the voice is saying to call 911.

6:03 a.m. — A caller on Goss Lake Road in Langley said a neighbor’s roosters are crowing at 5 a.m. It’s disturbing.

11:48 p.m. — A caller on Lola Lane in Langley advised that her son’s girlfriend just smacked her in the face.

Thursday, December 22

5:45 p.m. — A caller on Kramer Road in Langley said a man just called and said he was going to kick the caller’s and another man’s heads in.

Friday, December 23

12:26 p.m. — A caller on Maxwelton Road in Langley reported a herd of goats are in the roadway across from the elementary school.

Saturday, December 24

3:51 p.m. — A caller on Pinewood Circle in Langley said a subject in a black Acura Integra was driving around following a UPS truck; the driver was recognized and the caller is worried the woman is taking packages.

8:44 p.m. — A caller on Lakeview Way in Langley said people in a white vehicle and a pickup are on the street going through mailboxes. Both vehicles were seen headed toward Mercer Drive.

9:17 p.m. — A caller on Bayview Road in Langley asked if crabbing is illegal. The caller said the bible he reads says he can go crabbing and that the calltaker is going to tell him different.

Monday, December 26

9:53 a.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay and Glendale Roads in Clinton said someone shot a BB gun pellet through the window of her car while she was driving last night.

Tuesday, December 27

8:13 a.m. — A caller at a Bayview grocery store said a white male approximately 30 years old has been hanging around store since 4 a.m. The man hasn’t gone into the store yet, that he’s just circling the area on his bike and asking people for money.

8:59 p.m. — A caller from a Clinton gas station reported a woman standing around and asking customers for rides.
