A surprise snow day canceled classes for the South Whidbey School District on Friday, March 22.

The loss of instructional time won’t wash away like the snow, however. South Whidbey students will make up the lost day at the end of the school year on Thursday, June 20. School was originally scheduled to release for summer break June 19.

Graduation remains unchanged for June 15.

Washington state requires 180 instruction days or the credit-hour equivalent each school year.
