South Whidbey artist program gets $1,000 boost | KUDOS

Artists of South Whidbey President Gaylen Whiteman presented Whidbey Island Arts Council President Don Wodjenski and Chairperson of Arts in Education Frank Rose with a check for $1,000 for the Artist in Residence Program.

Funding for Artists of South Whidbey Community Arts is done through sales of cards displaying images painted by members. Cards may be purchased from South Whidbey businesses Casey’s Arts & Crafts in Bayview and Callahan’s Firehouse Studio and Gallery in Langley.

The Artist in Residence program matches Whidbey Island K-12 teachers and artists in collaborative arts enrichment activities for the classroom.
