South Whidbey’s school board directors will recognize young scientists from Langley Middle School at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at the community room at South Whidbey Elementary School.

The brief recognition for the students whose science fair projects were included in the state fair will precede the majority of the board’s business.

Several policies regarding safety and liability will be reviewed as well, including one about infectious diseases, medication at school, anaphylaxis prevention and response, head lice, nutrition and physical fitness and a drug-free workplace.

An hourlong executive session to discuss Superintendent Jo Moccia’s evaluation will conclude the meeting.
