Speeding cars, man urinating on fast food business building, crazy woman with knife | SHERIFF’S REPORT

The following are 911 reports to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, South Precinct.

Sunday, Nov. 20

11:48 a.m. — A caller on Mutiny Bay and Bush Point roads reported seeing lots of cars going at least 100 mph.

5:54 p.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay Road said his is house getting broken into every time he leaves. He was calling from a pay phone and wants an officer to do a drive-by of his house.

8:06 p.m. A caller on Allyson Street reported seeing a male looking into his and his wife’s bedroom; the man isn’t visible now, but he thinks he’s still in the backyard.

Monday, Nov. 21

2:45 p.m. — A caller at South Whidbey High School said kids are playing “chicken” with a car in the parking lot. They are jumping onto the vehicle when it gets close.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

1:48 p.m. — A caller on Holmes View Drive in Freeland discovered the sliding-glass door open. Nothing was missing but cookie crumbs were found in the kitchen.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

4:48 p.m. — A caller on Harbor Avenue in Freeland reported a transient male is attempting to break into an office. The subject is camped out near the library now.

5:34 p.m. — A caller on Langley Road at a storage business said an invader is hitting the maintenance guy.

6:36 p.m. — A caller on Maxwelton Road reported crossing the road and having a male driver slam on his brakes in front of the caller, yell at the caller and then spit in the caller’s eyes.

Thursday, Nov. 24

12:40 p.m. — A caller in Freeland said a male subject is urinating on a burger business’s building and writing on the windows.

Saturday, Nov. 26

3:08 p.m. — A caller on Whidbey Shores Road west of Langley said a house looks like it’s going to topple off a cliff. There have been several landslides in the area.

7:06 p.m. — A caller on Craw Road and Highway 525 reported a vehicle that left the roadway and went over an embankment; the car is no longer visible.

Sunday, Nov. 27

9:53 a.m. — A caller on Honeymoon Bay Road reported finding the barn and gates all open. One gate was disassembled. Caller said suspects have been taking tools and construction supplies.

10:11 a.m. — A caller at the park and ride on Bayview Road and Highway 525 said their car was broken into. The passenger-side window was shattered and the car’s registration and insurance info taken.

11:58 a.m. — A caller on Classic Road reported persons driving by her slowly while she was sitting near a group of mailboxes. The caller said she wanted police to know she was just lost and resting, not stealing mail.

8:21 p.m. — A caller on Bells Beach Road in Langley said there is a crazy woman at the door waving a knife. The caller doesn’t know who she is but that she appeared to be about 25, had dark hair and wearing dark clothing.

Monday, Nov. 28

9:57 p.m. — A caller on Deer Lake Road and Haven Way reported a vehicle that rounded the corner at a high rate of speed. The caller stopped them and the occupants said, “We are here to get people some ferry tickets.” They may be intoxicated.
