Tour de Whidbey’s back after one year absence

Tour de Whidbey, the popular fundraising bicycle event of the Whidbey Hospital Foundation that was scratched last year, returns to Whidbey Island roads Saturday, Sept. 21.

Tour de Whidbey, the popular fundraising bicycle event of the Whidbey Hospital Foundation that was scratched last year, returns to Whidbey Island roads Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Tour de Whidbey raises money for equipment for Whidbey General Hospital every year. This year, the fundraising goal is help with the purchase of a breast MRI scan system to complement the hospital’s recently purchased $1 million, state-of-the-art MRI. Riders have their choice of 10, 30, 40, 50 and 100 mile routes.
