Tree falls, gets stuck on South Whidbey cable

A small tree that toppled toward Wilkinson Road spent more than one hour suspended above the blacktop Friday morning. The tree fell onto a fiber-optic cable, creating a traffic hazard. South Whidbey Fire/EMS officials flagged motorists around the tree until it was cleared.
