Post offices on Whidbey Island and across the country are partnering with local food banks Saturday, May 10, to “Stamp Out Hunger.”

Postal customers are asked to leave nonperishable food donations by their mailboxes on Saturday for their postal carriers to collect.

The food will be delivered to local food banks.

During its 22-year history, Stamp Out Hunger has grown to become the country’s largest single-day food drive.

There are donation bins at some of the island’s post offices for customers who have post office boxes.
