Bill Tulloch

Bill Tulloch

Bill died peacefully March 6, 2016, with his wife and sister at his side at the family home. Bill was born March 8, 1952, in Seattle, the son of William and Betty Tulloch.

He is survived by his wife Rita; two daughters, Jennie (Ryan) Rutledge, grandson Riley and granddaughter Presley of Enumclaw, and daughter Jessie Sproul and granddaughters Mackenzi and K’Lea and grandson Gianni of Mukilteo; step-son Carl Wayne (Donna) Hillegas; and sister Heather (Doug) of Raymond.

Bill attended Franklin High School in Seattle, Central Washington University and the University of Washington. Bill served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

Upon returning from the service, Bill embarked on a career in construction, culminating as a renovation project superintendent for Costco projects in Hawaii, among his successes.

His life on Whidbey Island started as a toddler, living in the Bush Point area where his father sold real estate for Clifford and Tulloch Land Co. As a very young child, he and his sister were fortunate to be able to spend weekends with their grandparents at their cabin on Admiralty Inlet. Those years of weekends helped form the kind and generous spirit that was Bill’s.

Bill returned to the island and became involved with Good Cheer, where he met his wife Rita and where he spent many happy years with many very good friends. Bill was passionate about his family. A loving husband, father, brother and friend, he will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at the family home.
