Christopher Emerson Morehead, 34, passed away the morning of Jan. 3, 2015, at his residence. Christopher was born in Findlay, Ohio, March 14, 1980, to his parents, Jodi Emerson Parker of Freeland, Wash., and Mike Morehead of Findlay.

Christopher was a construction worker who was an avid boxing enthusiast. He was previously a professional heavyweight boxer with multiple titles. He was also a Cleveland Browns fanatic and loyal fan. Christopher had a zeal for life. He had a dimple-filled smile and a big bear hug that could melt anyone’s heart. He is deeply loved and missed by all.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Emerson, and grandparents Jim and Connie Morehead.

He is survived by his loving partner, Jennifer O’Connor, of Freeland; mother Jodi Emerson Parker, of Freeland; stepfather, Fred Starkweather, of Freeland; father, Mike (Dawn) Morehead, of Ohio; and grandparents Robert and Melanie Emerson, of Florida. Surviving brothers are: Kyle Starkweather, of Freeland, and Joshua (Fawn) Thompson, of Ohio. Surviving sisters are: Carrie Parker, of Freeland; Becky (Jeff) Starkweather, of Freeland; and Amber (Alex) Dariotis, of Freeland. Surviving aunts and uncles include: Dave Emerson, Lisa Emerson, Carla Cooper, Robert Emerson, Chad Emerson, Vicki Lanagan, Steve Morehead, Lori Farver, Jodi Morehead, Jeffy Morehead and Cindy Morehead. He also had three nieces and one nephew, who reside in Freeland, as well as several cousins in Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay, OH (419-422-1500).
