Emyle Malzone: Jan. 29, 1950–April 1, 2018

Emyle Malzone passed away on April 1 at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. Born in Regensburg, Germany, Emyle emigrated with her family to New Jersey in 1951. She married her husband, Louis, in 1970. The couple moved from Lavallette, New Jersey, to the San Francisco Bay area in 1974 and pursued their careers and an active lifestyle. They lived in Falmouth, Maine, from 1998 prior to retiring to Freeland on Whidbey Island in 2003.

Emyle, an accomplished sailor, artist, gardener, cook and baker, shared in many of these endeavors with her husband Louis.

She is terribly missed by her devoted husband of 47 years, Louis; her mother Margarete Nuss; sister and brother-in-law Margo and John Tighe; brother Béla Nuss; brother and sister-in-law Jani and Rose Nuss; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Christopher and Janet Malzone; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne and Arleen Malzone; and nieces and nephews Carey and David Thornton, Jill and Will Koella, Karen and Adam Juncosa, Suzanne Tighe; great nieces and nephews Laney and Elise Thornton and Henry and Thomas Koella.

Emyle cared a great deal for the work done by Good Cheer Food Bank here on Whidbey Island. A donation to goodcheer.org in her name, Emyle Malzone, would be a lovely tribute to her generous and love-filled spirit.
