Larry died Oct. 8, 2019 from complications of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Florence, and brother, Ed. He is survived by sisters, Diane Neunherz (Dick, deceased), Marie Poolman (Dan), plus nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Seattle, Larry relocated to Whidbey Island, Wash., and loved the island life. He and his brother, Ed, opened Kiichli’s Bagel Bakery and ran a successful business for 18 years in Clinton.

Larry was a Vietnam veteran. His nieces and nephews were a large part of his life in the last few years. They enjoyed his stories and sharing of his adventures. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Marie would like to thank Whidbey Island Hospice for its care and compassion. The hospice team was a valuable resource to him and Marie and it was, through their care, that he was able to live and die doing it his way.
