Lois Margaret Kehl: March 19, 2018

In Loving Memory of Lois Margaret Kehl

Lois passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, after a long life filled with love, family and friendships. Lois was a kind-hearted woman who loved animals, music, gardening, reading, friends, dancing, playing golf, time with her grandchildren and family, and she was a hero to the local stray cat population. She enjoyed her time volunteering with Waste Wise and at the Fort Casey lighthouse.

She was born in Seattle in 1930 into a large family, with two brothers and three sisters whom she loved deeply. Lois moved to Whidbey Island from the Eastside in 2002, falling in love with the island and finding peace and friendships here, as so many do.

She is survived and missed by her two sons, Gregory and Kevin; her granddaughters Amanda, Lucy, and Norma; her sisters Evelyn and Carol, and her brother Arthur.

A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family at 2 p.m. on April 28 at the Grange Hall on Bayview Road.

Donations in her memory may be made to Oasis for Animals: oasisforanimals.org
