Marjorie May Norman

Marjorie May Norman, 86, of Freeland, passed away on Feb. 20, 2014, at Whidbey General Hospital from pneumonia. She was born May 20, 1928, in St. Helena, Calif.

Her parents were Leon Frederich Cook and Helen Sharp Cook. She was one of eight children. Marjorie was predeceased by four of her siblings: Leon Cook, James Cook, Gladys Furia, and Helen Lienhard.

She has three surviving siblings: Bill Cook of California, Lillian Bradbury of California, and Colleen Davidson of Oregon.

Marjorie spent 22 years in Anchorage, Alaska, where she met her husband of 34 years, Richard Norman. Sadly, she was predeceased by her daughter, Vera Darrow.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Richard, a daughter Leta Edmond, two grandsons Bo and Jason Edmond, and two precious great-grandsons, Damien Edmond who is 5, and Adrien Edmond who is 4.

Marjorie was an artist and avid reader. She loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by her family and friends.
