Richard “Rick” Martin, 73, of Lake Havasu City passed away peacefully in his home with family on October 20th, 2016. Rick was born on October 14th in Portland, Oregon to Richard and Betty Martin of Bells Beach. He was the oldest of three children. Rick married his high school sweetheart, Jane, in 1962. They raised their two children, Todd and Kim, in Seattle, Washington. In 1987, they moved to beautiful Whidbey Island, Washington where he owned and operated Microscan Inc. in Freeland for many years.

Rick enjoyed 60-plus years of summers at Bells Beach, traveling, NFL Football and Nascar. He loved boating and had a passion for fast boats that he shared with his family, which inspired him to move to sunny Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Martin, son Todd Martin, daughter Kim (Joe) Abellera, sister Nancy (Paul) Simmons. Rick was blessed with five grandchildren: Lucas and Bob Martin, Jessica, Ryder and Lexee Abellera. Rick’s kind heart and quick wit will be forever in our hearts.
