Robert ‘Bob’ Wayne Brown: July 23, 1945 – Jan. 15, 2019

Robert “Bob” Wayne Brown, a longtime resident of Clinton, Wash., passed away, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.

Bob was born July 23, 1945, in Portland, Ore.

In 1963, he graduated Benjamin Franklin High, followed by Clark College and then service in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968.

Bob met Marilyn in 1965 while stationed at Randolf Air Force Base in Texas.

They were married in November of 1966 in New Braunfels, Texas, and were together for over 50 years. In 1969, they relocated to Clinton on Whidbey Island.

In 1975, they were blessed with a son, Michael, and, in 1977, a daughter, Jennifer.

Bob spent numerous years working at The Boeing Co., Lumberjacks and Lumbermens until he retired.

His hobbies included collecting and restoring motorcycles and foreign cars, attending motorcycle and car rallies, and keeping his yard maintained.

Bob was an active member of the Norton motorcycle club.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, parents Lowell and Ethel, and stepmother Elsie.

He is survived by his stepmother Betty; sister Suzie; son Michael and his wife Maria; daughter Jennifer and her husband Ray; granddogs Nuggets, Nachos and King Henry III; and his kitty Shadow.

A military honors memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Tahoma National cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, Wash. Arrive 15 minutes prior at the welcome center located to the right after entering the main gate.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the South Whidbey Assembly of God Church, 5373 Maxwelton Rd, Langley, WA 98260
