Roger Dale Knapp

Roger was born to Roy and Ella Knapp in Spokane, Wash. The family moved to Whidbey Island in 1957.

Roger married Lynda M. Anderson March 2, 1968. Roger and Lynda had two children, Adrienne and Aaron, and just welcomed a grandson, Rjominn (Roman).

Shortly after marrying Lynda, Roger did two tours in Vietnam with the Navy River Patrol. Upon his return, he was hired at Whidbey Telephone Co. and spent 40-plus years with them until his retirement.

Roger enjoyed spending time with his family. For those who knew Roger (“Rippin’ Rog”), you are blessed to have met him and know the life of the party will be missed.

Roger is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynda; brother, Jim; son, Aaron; daughter, Adrienne; grandson, Rjominn; nephew, James; and niece, Tamara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ella, and brother, Jerry.

No services will be held, but thank all of you who have given support through this difficult time.
