Scott Wayne Maples: Feb. 20, 1967 – Sept. 19, 2018

Longtime Lagoon Point resident Scott Maples passed away on Sept. 19, 2018.

Scott was born in Seattle and moved to Whidbey Island in 1979.

He attended school in Coupeville and worked on the island as a truck driver for many years. He also worked with his dad in construction on and off of the island. Scott loved the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing and crabbing. He also enjoyed hunting camp with his dad and friends. He loved motorcycles, cars and music. Anyone that knew Scott knew he had a huge heart and would do anything for his many lifelong friends.

Scott is survived by his grandmother Anna Mae Finley, mother Nancy Maples, sister Shelly Tomlinson, nieces Christina (Troy) Martin and Nicole Tomlinson, great niece Montana Martin and his beloved dog Ruby, as well as many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Maples and grandparents Paul Finley Sr., and Monty and Wayne Maples.

There will be a celebration of life the summer of 2019 on Whidbey Island.
