Thelma Davis

Thelma Davis, 94, died peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 13, in her home in Clinton, Wash. She was born Sept. 23, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

She married her late husband George in 1941, and had seven children. In 1963 they moved to Phoenix, Ariz.

She and George traveled all over the world, and she loved going on trips with friends and family. She was a member of Sweet Adelines for many years, and continued singing in the choir at her local church.

She enjoyed volunteering at the local food bank. An avid baseball fan, she went to many baseball games with friends.

When she moved into the Christian Care facility in Phoenix, she played bocce ball and was a member of a championship team.

She also played the bells, and took a Tai Chi class weekly. In 2007 she moved to Whidbey Island to be with family.

She is survived by her children Doug Davis and wife Laura of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Georgine Morris, of Phoenix, Ariz. and Phyllis Davis, of Whidbey Island.

She has four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will be buried in Greenwood Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix, next to her husband George.
