Thomas C. Thornton

Thomas was born July 28, 1928, in Omak, Wash., to Wilma and Hugh Thornton.

He passed away April 6, 2014, at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville.

Tom was a hard working man and held many jobs to provide for his family. He was a logger, mechanic, truck driver and construction worker. He worked for Tyee Construction putting up the metal towers that hold the large power transmission lines across Snoqualmie Pass. He has had many injuries throughout his working career.

Tom loved to work on cars or anything mechanical, not only for himself but for family, friends and neighbors. He was always helping someone.

He is survived by his son, Phillip Thornton and wife Marie, their sons Hugh Thornton and Tim Thornton, his wife Arianna and their daughter Briella; daughter Diane Fallon and husband Bruce, grandson Tom Fallon, his wife Tami, and great-grandsons TJ and Trent; granddaughter Kristen Swanson and her husband Lance; son Don Thornton and wife Jackie, granddaughter Emily Thornton and grandson Eric Thornton, his wife Jessica, stepson Max Crateau and their daughters Iris and Ivory.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie and daughter Jeannine.

He dearly loved his family and was very proud of them all.

Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Visser’s Funeral Chapel.
