Is Obama their cup of tea? | LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

March 21, 2012 · Updated 9:48 AM

To the editor:

I don’t understand why the “Tea Party” seems not to like President Obama. They claim to be for family values; for reduction in taxes; for an improved economy; for Protestant Christianity.

President Obama has a wonderful family with a loving wife, two adorable daughters and a dog; has reduced taxes for the middle class; has brought the economy back from the abyss with no help from the Republicans in Congress; and is a practicing Protestant Christian.

So why don’t they like him? Oh, I get it. Old prejudices die hard; they don’t like him because he’s Irish-American!
