The Tea Party is no answer | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
The GOP keeps saying the Democrats are the party of the national debt. Reagan was the first president to exceed $100 billion, then $200 billion and on through eight years. George H.W. Bush was the first to exceed $300 billion and on for four years.
Clinton turned over a balanced budget to George W. Bush. Bush then ran up $3 trillion.
The GOP and its fat-cat bankers and stockbrokers caused this economic meltdown. This is not a hangover that we have, so the hair of the dog that bit you is not the cure. Another pull on the jug won’t work. We should not elect another Republican to any position until the mess in Washington, D.C. is paid off.
The Tea Party is not the answer. They should change their name to “Taxed Ever After” to pay the debts they have already made. You can find this info on the Internet. Check it out.
