To the editor:

The "local" movement is really catching on; eat local, buy local, support local businesses. I'd like to add to that "Vote Local."

In the race for state representative, we have a good, local candidate, Tom Riggs. Tom was born and raised in Washington (his opponent wasn't), his kids are in our local public schools (his opponent's never were), and has spent his career

serving the citizens of Washington.

His campaign is focused on supporting local businesses and local agriculture. He believes Washington taxpayer money should be spent in Washington, i.e. locally, and he is not taking any money from out-of-state interests (which his opponent is).

I look forward to the headline "Local boy does good" when Tom Riggs is elected to represent us in Olympia.
