To the editor:

WSU Extension-Island County and its Beach Watcher program want to express our grateful appreciation to the staff and faculty of South Whidbey High School for the cooperation, assistance and support given in planning and presenting Sound Waters, our one-day environmental “university” on Saturday, Feb. 5.

More than 600 individuals attended — the most ever. The school is an incredible facility, and we look forward to having other events there in the future. We want to recognize the participation from the school’s faculty and staff that so greatly contributed to its success.

Timothy Lawrence

Director

WSU Extension, Island County
