Letters to the Editor

President deserves many thanks | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Thank you Mr. President, thank you!

Thank you for demonstrating the confidence, effectiveness, determination, courage and command needed for an authentic “Mission Accomplished” moment.

Thank you for making all Americans safer today than we were yesterday when Osama bin Laden was still walking the earth.

Thank you for caring so deeply for our men and women in uniform that you will not send them into harm’s way unless and until you are satisfied that the use of force is necessary and justified.

Thank you for keeping your campaign promise by having the courage to stand up to an ally who harbored Osama bin Laden (whether knowingly or unknowingly) and for acting in a way that some international critics will claim violated Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Thank you for showing the world that great leaders seek justice, not revenge.

Thank you for reassuring the Muslim world that we are not at war with Islam; that it is terrorists who are the mortal enemy of the United States, not the vast majority of honorable Muslims who want only to worship their God in peace.

Thank you for making every American proud of their president, their Commander in Chief, and the men and women in our armed forces who place their lives in danger every day to ensure that all Americans can enjoy the benefits of liberty.

Thank you Mr. President, thank you.
