Market is a positive move | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
Just a thank you to Kent Ratekin and whomever else helped in getting Friday farmers market going in Langley.
Usually I try avoiding Langley on the weekends because of all the crowds. But last Friday I dared to go into Langley to check out the new Friday farmers market to meet with friends, listen to some awesome marimba music and ended up hanging out for dinner with friends. What a nice surprise it was to see parts of Second Street void of cars and people able to just hang out and enjoying themselves, visiting with neighbors and such.
What a positive move to have Friday farmers market in Langley. Shutting the cars out for just a couple of hours makes such a positive impact. Locals and visitors can connect so much easier without having to dodge SUVs looking for parking places.
Way to go, Kent and Langley.
