Shame on Congress | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Democrats think they’re right, Republicans think they’re right, Tea Party thinks it’s right; where does this end?

We keep hearing from our government that we as citizens need to get along and be kind to one another and come to an understanding with each other. Why doesn’t the government practice what they preach?

Now, they would not be able to give our senior citizens their Social Security if things aren’t settled by Aug. 2! These are the people who helped make this country what it is today and you are going to take away what they worked so hard for? Shame on you!

Also, just who does the United States owe all this money to? The government never states who we are in debt to, they just say we are in debt.

I realize we are in a recession, but taking away Social Security is something that should never be cut. We have enough homeless on the streets already and now you want to add senior citizens to the list of possible homeless? Shame on you!
