To the editor:

We just rescued a very sweet Canadian goose as she was young and didn’t know how to fly and lost her flock. She is being rehabbed right now and will be released.

How unfortunate that your otherwise enlightened island has lost its way in the treatment of your Canadian geese guests and particularly are fearsome “our” goose does not wind up flying up there! Killing is not the way.

We’re disappointed with your island’s poor solutions.
