Kudos to Whidbey Island Bank | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
Thank you Whidbey Island Bank in Clinton!
I was pick-pocketed in London last week and Whidbey Island Bank was so helpful. I lost my passport, money, credit and debit cards (to a major bank). My major bank quickly cancelled my cards of course, and “rushed” a new credit card to me (which took six hours of phone calls and five days), but they would not help me receive any money from my checking, savings or credit accounts. Plus, on every phone call to them I was caught for a long time in relaying the same information over and over — maddening!
When I called my wonderful little local bank here in Clinton, a real person answered the phone. And within half a day, after sending them a fax with signatures, etc., my money was in my daughter’s bank in London.
Thank you Whidbey Island Bank, for being so service oriented. This makes me more committed than ever to move my money” to my community bank.
