Once a month is enough | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Hooray for Norma Hansson. I couldn’t agree more with her “Enough about Langley already” letter to the editor.

A New Year’s resolution suggestion for the Record: Less about the Village by the Sea’s endless self-inflicted wounds and more about things that really matter on South Whidbey. Environmental issues, the local impact of county and state budget cuts, Good Cheer’s work, the future of Clinton, alcohol and drug use, plans for a Freeland sewer, volunteer needs and opportunities, the school district, Island Transit and many other issues could all use more good reporting.

Langley is comical rather than newsworthy, and not relevant to most people on the South End. One story a month would be more than sufficient!
