LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Filmmakers plan premiere

May 15, 2012 · Updated 2:24 PM

To the editor:

Dear South Whidbey friends and neighbors:

Mark Dworkin and I would like to express our appreciation to the many islanders who have donated to our documentary project, “Shift Change: Putting Democracy to Work.”

After Patricia Duff beautifully covered the story in the April 28 issue of Record, dozens of you pledged your support to help us complete the film. We are writing to say thank you and also stay tuned.

Once we’ve finished the film -— which looks at employee-owned businesses as one solution to the economic challenges we face -— we anticipate a lively Whidbey premiere, which we hope you all will attend.

Thanks again for your generous contributions! We are proud and humbled to live in such a caring community.
