LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Geese are also God’s creatures

To the editor:

Thank you so much Theresa Delap (Letters, May 16) for having voiced our opinion on the cruel and unnecessary killing of the families of geese on Honeymoon Lake. My husband and I just rode by the other day and saw the mother and her babies out on the dam eating bugs and grass and enjoying the beautiful day. We both said “we hope the few residents will not be killing again.” It is a pleasure to see all of our wildlife on Whidbey Island. This is one of the reasons we choose Whidbey as our home. You can learn to live with our magnificent wildlife.

Why did you move on Whidbey Island if you did not want to live in the country? You don’t kill God’s creatures to suit your lifestyle. Do you kill  birds because they poop on the house, patio, etc.? Animals are here for a purpose on this earth, each serves a purpose in our environment.

I can’t believe you are that cruel to  kill again.

I would just like to tell people that deer whistles are available at the auto parts store in Freeland and they work. All creatures great and small the Lord God made them all.
