LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | A club that’s worth celebrating

July 24, 2012 · Updated 2:23 PM

To the editor:

Fifteen years ago, my husband and I joined the Baby Island-Saratoga Club. BISC is a Whidbey Island community club located a few miles down Saratoga Road from Langley. We have enjoyed the monthly potluck dinners and programs, and it has given us the opportunity to meet other South Whidbey families. Even the work parties to maintain the public meeting hall and the fund raisers to raise money for scholarships for students have been fun occasions.

On Sunday, July 29, the club is celebrating their 60th anniversary of incorporation. We especially urge previous members, our neighbors, and the good people of South Whidbey, to come and join us for this celebration of 60-plus years of service to our community.
