LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Incumbents mean higher taxes

To the editor:

Price Johnson and Homola great leaders? Really?

I am truly amazed by all of the letters to the editor I see about how great Commissioners Price Johnson and Homola are. They are supposedly “great leaders with great vision.” The only thing either of them ever lead us to was higher taxes and higher fees. Both of them raised taxes and fees every chance they got. And when they couldn’t raise taxes or fees, they found new fees to implement.

For example, take the Clean Water Utility Fee that we all pay that they rammed through. Most of that money will be spent on things that have nothing to do with clean water. Just another way to get more money from the taxpayers. I don’t call that great vision or leadership.

If you want your taxes and fees to continue to rise for the next six years while our home values continue to go down, re-elect Price Johnson and Homola. If you want to bring fiscal sanity back to Island County, vote for someone else.
