LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Stick-on ad wrongly placed

October 23, 2012 · Updated 2:25 PM

To the editor:

Imagine my surprise when, after I purchased my copy of the Record late last week, I not only found a stick-on “Vote for Jill” ad right smack dab in the middle of the front page, but was also unable to remove the ad without rendering the paper unreadable.

The placement of ads — political or otherwise — on the front page of a newspaper directly over the news stories themselves speaks volumes as to the priorities of the paper itself. In the Record’s case, I am sadly informed that income trumps informative news every time.
